TAU CROSSES COLLECTION

The Tau is the cross of Saint Francis. It is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, used with symbolic value since the days recounted in the Old Testament. The Tau had been adopted by the early Christians for two reasons; besides being the Hebrew equivalent of the Omega (the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end), it was used due to its resemblance to the cross. Greatly loved by St. Francis, who adopted it as a symbol of the cross and of Christ's victory over Evil, the Tau was also the Saint’s personal seal, synonymous with salvation.

Meanings: Rebirth, salvation, brotherhood
